Ke-Yuan Hsin
Multi-faceted artist and conductor Ke-Yuan Hsin (b. 1993) is enjoying a wide range of success in his career as a performer, educator, and conductor. Winning accolades such as first prize for the Taiwan National Student Competition, semi-finalists at the 17th Khachaturian International Conducting Competition in Armenia, semi-finalist at the 2021 Lliria City of Music International Conducting Competition in Spain, and an invitation to the 8th International Competition of Young Conductors Lovro von Matačić in 2023. Ke-Yuan is continually carving a path for himself today.
As a conductor and educator, Ke-Yuan has conducted several orchestras internationally and led several groups to success. Serving as the graduate teaching assistant at the University of Texas at Austin from 2019-2024, he taught university orchestra, symphony orchestra, and instructed future music educators on instrumental conducting. Currently, served as Associate Conductor of the Denver Philharmonic; Assistant conductor of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and Assistant conductor of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra.
From 2019 to 2024, Ke-Yuan served as music director of the University of Texas at Austin University Orchestra, where he brought a variety of programs to the ensemble. These included classical masterpieces from different cultures and periods, as well as innovative initiatives such as the orchestra's first-ever concert of Chinese music featuring the traditional Chinese instrument, the Erhu, with soloist Yun-Chen Tsai at Bates Recital Hall. He is passionate about connecting with the local community and sharing his musical knowledge. Ke-Yuan has served as guest conductor for the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra since 2022, conducting in over thirteen concerts. One of the performances with the orchestra received a nomination as a National Finalist in Orchestra Conducting for the American Prize in 2025.
